If you are a parent considering using Proloquo2Go with your child, a therapist wanting to learn more or a teacher who would like specific examples of how to use it with multiple students, you won't want to miss this informative opportunity.

During our March 2011 SNApps4Kids meeting Tricia Brinks will be presenting training on Proloquo2Go. Anyone is welcome to attend the event in Houston March 2, 2011. For those who cannot be there, we will post the training on our website and notify everyone via our newsletter list so please sign up if you would like to be notified.

Tricia Brinks taught special education in Chicago for 7 years. Her students ranged in age from 10-15 years old and had severe physical disabilities. All of her students useddynamic display communication devices to communicate. Last year Tricia moved to Houston and currently teaches 2-5 year olds with cognitive and physical disabilities at The Arbor. She has been using Proloquo2Go on the iPad in her class on a daily basis. Tricia will share her experience of using Proloquo2Go in the classroom and will demonstrate how a new user can set up pages as well as specific how-to’s for programming pages.

If you are a parent considering using it with your child, a therapist wanting to learn more or a teacher who would like specific examples of how to use it with multiple students, you won’t want to miss this informative opportunity.

  1. WE HAVE A 15yo NON-VERBAL CHILD WITH AUTISM AND APRAXIA. HE HAS an iPad and has used the VANTAGE BOARD FOR YEARS. WE WANT TO TRANSITION HIM TO USING HIS iPAD AS HIS VOD. WE ARE STRONGLY CONSIDERING PROLOQUO2GO. TAP TO TALK WAS DISAPPOINTING, NOT AS USER FRIENDLY AS WE THOUGHT, AND CHOICE BOARD IS GREAT BUT INSUFFICIENT.
    THANKS,
    BETTY
