Voice Band is a unique music app that lets you create music with your voice. Simply sing into your iPhone, iPad or iPod and hear Voice Band transform your voice into an instrument.
The app has many uses besides the primary one of creating music and songs. We have used this with students as young as 12 months to work on back and forth communication and emerging vocalizations. For emerging and those who are working on vocal volumes and pitch, this app may help to motivate them to create and make more sounds. For older users this can be a great tool for self-expression and a creative outlet because you can use songs from your own devices, record a whole song or each instrument one at a time while adding any type of effects. This can also be used for users with limited mobility as they can create music music just their voices.
Voice Band can be used at home, in the classroom or in therapy sessions and with a variety of ages and populations. Each time we have used this we have found new ways to address functional goals based on the user and their needs.
