BridgingApps just published the following BridgingApps Reviewed App on the site:
Touch-Words is a simple app to help increase the user’s vocabulary at the beginning stages of reading. All the user needs to be able to do is touch the screen. They can touch it in any form (whole hand or finger). A real-life picture of an object appears on the screen and then when the user touches the screen the word appears under the object. This app will help children learn new words and the meaning of the word.
For those familiar with the See and Learn Language and Reading resources from Down Syndrome Education International, this app can be used to complement the use of their paper-based See and Learn activities. This app can be used as an introduction to vocabulary and can be followed by the next app in the series called Special Words.
