TapTapSee App

BridgingApps just published the following BridgingApps Reviewed App on the site:

Recently updated, TapTapSee now features video recognition. This is quite a remarkable app for someone who is blind or visually impaired. It assists in identifying objects by taking a picture of it and hearing the app speak the identification back to you. Double tap the right side of the screen to take a photo or double tap the left side of the screen to take a video. Videos can be recorded up to 10 seconds in length and have an audible 10 second ticker. Simply double click again to end a video that’s under 10 seconds.

This is a great app for those who are looking for ways to help the students they are working with to be more independent. Our student was quite pleased to be able to hear described in words what she could not see. It is just another way apps have helped to improve the life of those with disabilities. We recommend TapTapSee for those who need another tool to help see and navigate the world.
