Smiling Mind is a meditation and mindfulness app that allows users to practice those skills in different settings, such as the classroom or the workplace. The app is free to download and Smiling Mind is a not-for profit organization. There are a variety of different programs to choose from and they are separated into categories including adult, youth, classroom, and workplace. We liked how the classroom category provided a lesson plan overview on how to incorporate the app into the weekly lesson planning. We tried one of the sessions in our high school classroom as part of a mindful minute break. Smiling Mind is a great app for Veterans, adults, people who have PTSD and anyone who wants to learn how to effectively use meditation and mindfulness.
