Magic Piano by Smule is a great app that uses piano skills to help create songs by touching beams of light that fall from the top of the screen. The user can create their own songs on different keyboards or use one of the over 45 songs that come with the app. Magic Piano can be used in a classroom/therapy setting or at home to address fine motor skills, attention to task, listening, bilateral movements, hand-eye coordination and self-expression. It can used with a variety of populations such as but not limited to Down syndrome, autism, ADD, physical disability or developmentally delayed. This can even be used in early childhood to work on hand-eye coordination and tracking and finger isolation.
