BridgingApps Reviewed App | Dexteria Jr. – Fine Motor Skill Development for Toddlers & Preschoolers

Dexteria Junior AppBridgingApps just published the following BridgingApps Reviewed App on the site:

Dexteria Jr.- Fine Motor Skills Development for Toddlers and Preschoolers is an exceptional app that utilizes finger and hand exercises in order to facilitate writing, strength, control and dexterity. There are 3 different activities that can be performed with or without music and verbal directions. All activities have increasingly challenging levels and the data can tracked for multiple users.

Many children who do not like to practice handwriting the traditional pencil and paper way are eager to practice with writing apps like Dexteria Jr. on a mobile device. Early learners can also strengthen hand muscles and develop fine motor control by using a stylus with this app.

The BridgingApps reviewer trialed Dexteria Jr. in an inclusion preschool class and found it to be a hit with both typically and developmentally delayed children. Teachers especially loved the tracking mechanism for reporting. Increasing levels of challenge make the app perfect for all children. Being able to adapt the auditory feedback was especially helpful for children diagnosed with ASD.
