Walk With Me 2025 Keeps on Walking

If you follow BridgingApps and/or Easter Seals Greater Houston on social media, you’ve no doubt heard of Walk With Me, our annual fundraising event. April 12 was Easter Seals’ 14th Walk With Me, at the Houston Zoo, and we were blessed with beautiful spring weather and over 4,000 participants.

If you were one of those participants—or a donor or sponsor—thank you for supporting our work. And thank you for helping make possible the “good time that was had by all,” complete with refreshments, face-painting, games, assistive-tech demos, and tickets to the Zoo!

Good news if you somehow missed April 12: Walk With Me 2025 will continue to collect donations through next month. We’re aiming for a minimum of $1 million raised by May 31, and are already well over halfway to that goal. See Walk With Me’s Make a Donation and Get Involved pages.

What You’re Funding

Easter Seals Greater Houston (ESGH) is an affiliate of the national Easterseals network, which has been serving and empowering people with disabilities since 1934. ESGH was founded in 1947. We emphasize comprehensive services for all disabilities, including:

  2. Autism Spectrum Disorders
  3. Blind/Visual Impairment
  4. Brain Injury
  5. Cerebral Palsy
  6. Chronic Illness
  7. Deaf/Hard of Hearing
  8. Developmental Delay/Disabilities

  14. Physically Limited/Wheelchair User
  15. Speech Disorder and Language Impairment)

ESGH also provides services for caregivers and families—including nondisabled siblings, who are often overlooked among the many people affected by disability in a household.
