Meet Up with BridgingApps at TCEA 2014 Convention in Austin, Texas

Join BridgingApps and TCEA from February 3-7, as this conference brings together campus and district-level educators for a networking and learning experience that inspires innovative teaching and learning for classroom, campus, and district-wide success. tcea_2013_playground2

BridgingApps will give several presentations as well as be available throughout the week to meet with visitors in the Assistive Technology Playground. Designed specifically for teachers of special needs students, the Assistive Technology Playground demonstrates the technology tools and software that elevate the productivity of teachers in their specialized environments, targeting students who require individualized attention or special assistance to continue growth in learning. Along with ESC 4, BridgingApps will  demonstrate equipment, offer online resources, and meet one-on-one with teachers seeking to implement best practices in serving students with special needs.

Betsy Furler and Cristen Reat will present on topics ranging from matching apps to educational goals, apps helpful for promoting an inclusive classroom, and a session devoted to hardware and accessories available for students of all abilities. BridgingApps has partnered with TCEA to create a Mobile Devices for Children with Disabilities certification for those interested in effectively using mobile devices with children who have special needs.
