BridgingApps just published the following BridgingApps Reviewed App on the site:
SFY – Lite was a hit with teachers who work with nonverbal students. Teachers loved the simplicity, yet, well thought out organization and structure of this app for students who want to communicate, but are unable to through spoken words. By allowing the students to “quick open and/or close buttonsâ€, this app made for quick communication. Students who engaged with this app over the school year were observed increasing their communication skills in the classroom and at home. Some successes and celebrations teachers shared were that students were less frustrated when attempting to communicate their needs and wants, students were beginning to increase “vocabulary†by combining words into sentences, and as a result language development was growing.
