BridgingApps Reviewed App | Sago Mini Music Box

BridgingApps just published the following BridgingApps Reviewed App on the site:

Sago Mini Music Box is a fun musical app. The app gives the child the opportunity to play a song. As the child taps the screen, a song plays and objects appear on the screen. The child can also learn new vocabulary and basic concepts and follow verbal directions.

This app was reviewed with preschool and young elementary aged children with developmental delays or autism. The children were entertained by the movement of the vehicle and the responses to their touch. Some recognized the song being played and sang along. The app gave the therapist the opportunity to work with the children on following directions involving basic concepts such as up and down, over and under. The objects that appear can be named or described by the child. The app can also be used as reinforcement for concepts taught during therapy.
