Moose Math – by Duck Duck Moose is a visually appealing and fun app that uses a variety of animated characters, called Dust Funnies to engage their math journey. This is a great app for learners initially learning or struggling to count, sort, match, add, subtract. Moose Math individualizes levels as the user masters concepts thus activities progressing in difficulty.
We used the app one-on-one, with monolingual and bilingual children with language delays and typical development. The app is user friendly and very entertaining. An adult inputs information to individualize their town. Children were very enthusiastic about seeing their name on the street sign.The Report Card offering information on progress and suggested skill-building activities is phenomenal. This offers an easy way to identify concept gains and areas that would benefit from additional review.
