BridgingApps just published the following BridgingApps Reviewed App on the site:
inku – tool for dyslexia is a speech to text app that enables people with dyslexia and other print disabilities to write stories, notes, messages, and other typed documents simply by using their voice. Users can also choose to type and have instant word prediction for misspellings, as well as word and phrase suggestions based on the content as they type. The app is a simple interface with a blank screen that has a menu in the form of colored tabs across the top with symbols and a keyboard at the bottom for typing.
inku is a very customizable tool that could be useful for people with dyslexia and other print disabilities, including those with physical disabilities which affect their ability to type. The word prediction offers many suggestions and seems pretty proficient at decoding spelling errors that are often made by individuals with print disorders such as dyslexia.
