During the month of October we celebrate people with Down syndrome and make people aware of their abilities and accomplishments. My Friend Isabelle HD is a beautifully designed book that describes the friendship between a typically developing boy and a girl who has Down syndrome. The book serves as a wonderful opportunity to read together and learn about tolerance, acceptance and friendship by showing that differences are what makes the world so great. My Friend Isabelle also promotes early learning and helps children develop reading skills by connecting the spoken audio words and sounds with the written word on the page.
