BridgingApps just published the following BridgingApps Reviewed App on the site:
Taking us back to the days of our own childhood, the Fisher-Price: See ‘n Say app is a great electronic version of our own childhood toy. This app can be used to target those exciting first words, specifically animals and their sounds, with colorful graphics in a fun, interactive and informative game.
Designed for children under 5 years of age, this app was trialed with children from 1 1/2 years to 3 years of age with no words and a cognitive delay or an expressive delay with single words only. Children with no words were prompted to select an animal and parents were encouraged to also repeat the word back to them.
Parents and SLPs are encouraged to use this app to introduce single words and expand into phrases with this adorable version of an old childhood favorite, the Fisher-Price See ‘n Say. Parents and children alike will enjoy this visually dynamic and easy to navigate app.
