BridgingApps just published the following BridgingApps Reviewed App on the site:
Families 1 is an educational app designed to help children learn. The app can be used to develop language skills in children through vocabulary development and categorization skills.
The app opens with a box filled with 3 pictures that are alike in some way. Seven pictures surround the box. The child is expected to move the picture into the box that is most like the others. If the child moves the correct picture, the picture stays in the box and another box appears with different objects. If the answer is incorrect, the picture bounces back to its place and the child can choose another picture. As each box is filled, the field of answers decreases. When the level is completed, cheering, clapping and a happy emoji appears as a reward.
Families 1 is highly recommended for teaching basic vocabulary and categorization skills.
