March 28th marked the first official meeting of BridgingApps Austin.  Introductions were made and there was a good mix of parents, teachers, and therapists that attended the meeting.  Participants were able to network, share, and  help each other.  This truly was a highlight of the meeting.
Julie Melton Smith led the meeting and spoke about  the essence of each monthly BridgingApps meeting.  She showed the guests several pieces of hardware, demonstrated 3 Apps (SpellBoard/iReward/iWriteWords), and touched upon some basic aspects of the BridgingApps website.
The group had a great discussion about Bubcaps. Â Everyone agreed that it is near impossible to keep their child in the App that they would like for them to be in. Â This little piece of hardware offered guests an easy solution!
