Almost time! The 15th annual Walk With Me (WWM) is this Saturday, April 11, 2026. We’ll meet at the Houston Zoo, starting at 7 a.m.
Reminders for Walkers
- A walker packet is required for all participants. You can pick yours up in advance at 5586 Weslayan Street (Randalls), on Thursday the 9th between 3 and 6:30 p.m. or on Friday the 10th between 7 and 11:30 a.m.
- On Walk day, plan on arriving between 7 and 7:30 a.m. to complete registration. (Earlier is better, especially if anyone in your group has walking difficulties: Zoo parking fills up quickly.)
- Bring your kids: walkers under 11 get free Zoo admission without fundraising requirements.
- The Walk will begin promptly at 8 a.m.
- After you’re done walking, drop by the afterparty for free snacks and activities.
- The afterparty runs until 10:30, but your Zoo admission is good for the whole day. Visit the Houston Zoo website for ideas on how to spend your afternoon.
- You can also find plenty to do in the rest of Hermann Park, where the Zoo is located. Look for the elephant sculptures, walk around the lake, do some birdwatching, or visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
If you’ve been meaning to join us but somehow missed planning for it, the Walk With Me 2026 registration page is still open. And if you can’t join the actual Walk (or even if you can), it’s not too late to make a fundraising donation. See the BridgingApps Team Fundraising Page.
(2026 is also the 15th anniversary of BridgingApps’ joining Easter Seals Greater Houston. Watch for a “happy birthday to us” post coming soon, where longtime BA team members will share from their experiences watching our services grow, develop, and continue to expand.)
