Using the iPad in the Classroom

At BridgingApps Austin July meeting, guest speaker Meg Glass, a Pre-K teacher, talked about how she is using the iPad in the classroom.  She talked about using during transitions, during assessment, for read alouds, to promote language, for sensory purposes, as a reward, just for fun, to promote social skills, promote independent reading, to enhance instruction, and for video modeling.  Meg also gave out a great list of apps she loves and broke them down into different learning domains.  Some highlights were Monkey Mathschool Sunshine and Emotions from I Can Do Apps.
