\”Please consider that a language delay is often the cause of what appears to be a cognitive delay, which, sadly results in the misdiagnosis of intellectual impairment/disability. I have found, in my experience, that many students with language delay or impairment do NOT have an intellectual impairment at all. That said, targeting language development is critical for a lot of children. While it may be true for a small percentage, I for one, find it deplorable that high school students would benefit from an app targeted at children less than 4 years of age. Let us hope that the new technology and work of apps do more for our kids.\”
