Lil Planner – Visual Schedule app is an easy-to-use schedule creator for kids. The app allows users to quickly make a schedule, activities or tasks to complete for the day. The activities can be re-ordered as needed or even removed from the schedule completely.
The interface is clean and simple, with the home page only having the days that you have created a schedule for and a “make a plan” button at the bottom. Kids can easily see which day of the week it currently is because the app automatically puts a star next to the current day of the week.
The benefits of an app like this are potentially endless due to its flexibility and variety of ways it can be used. As previously mentioned, in a classroom, especially one with very young children or one with children of varying intellectual levels and abilities, this app could help students’ anxiety levels about what comes next in the day or what will be expected of them later by showing it in an easy to understand format. This app also delivers what the developers intended as an app to use at home with young children to keep the day flowing smoothly and possibly motivate them to get tasks, even those that are non-preferred or not as enjoyable, completed so that they can move on to more preferred, enjoyable tasks.
