SUMMARY:Laptop Tech Talk: BridgingApps' lab-on-the-go
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for what we call “lab-on-the-go” at Catholic Charities in Richmond\, Texas. In these sessions\, we share some of our favorite apps and tech tips with the patrons at the Mamie George Community Center.  Due to staffing changes and new program offerings at Easter Seals\, we want to share with our patrons that we will be cutting back our visits to once a month.  As a way to support our seniors more throughout the week with their use of technology\, we want to get our patrons more comfortable with the GetSetup app.  \n\n\n\n\nFor this session\, we will be talking about the GetSetUp app and setting up accounts.  Bring your laptop if you have one.  \nAlso\, if you received a laptop and accessories from us last year\, bring those so we can help show you how to use those (mice\, keyboards\, headphones\, screen extenders\, etc). \nIn November we will be talking about changing notification settings on your phone.  We would like for participants to learn a little about notifications before our next class.   \nHere is a video that we would like you to watch before our class on Thursday\, November 12 from 11:00 – 12:30 pm.   \nHomework for next class: Click here to watch video on Changing Notification Settings \n\n\n\n\nWe hope that you will join us for this in-person event. \nFor more information about this class and others offered at the center\, you can call Catholic Charities at (281) 202-6200. \nYou can also contact TRocha@eastersealshouston.org to let her know you are coming and to ask questions about a specific device or app.  Tara can also be reached at 832-707-7672.
