Pepi Hospital AppBridgingApps just published the following BridgingApps Reviewed App on the site:

Pepi Hospital is an interactive app depicting a multi-level hospital. The child can move around four floors and eight different rooms on an elevator with different activities and experiences in each space. The rooms include an ambulance bay that brings new patients to the hospital every few minutes. There is a dentist, MRI, X-ray and casts, surgery and a nursery. There are many interactive objects in each room that the child can turn off and on such as phones, radios, x-ray machines, and snacks to eat.

One interesting feature of this app is that the patients in the hospital have a variety of illnesses that the child can observe and address. For example, one patient has a running nose and another has a hurt leg. If the sick patient is touched, a suggestion as to the remedy is given. The child can take the patient to the correct floor and get him the help that is needed.

There are also numerous patients that can be chosen to visit the hospital. These patients include people, aliens, animals and monsters. All of the patients and scenes are animated and do not depict actual pictures or photographs of real objects.

This app is highly recommended for elementary or middle school aged children with developmental delays or autism, particularly those who have been hospitalized or have visited a hospital.
